World Pride International Choral Festival

COME SING WITH THE 1,000-VOICE INTERNATIONAL L.O.V.E. CHORUS
You are invited to join hundreds of singers from around the world to join GMCW to form the League of Voices for Equality and sing on the National Mall during the World Pride Festival’s closing weekend, June 7-8, 2025. With the goal of over one thousand voices, together we’ll raise our voices for equality in our nation’s capital! Music will be distributed in advance, all voice parts are welcome. World Pride International Choral Festival

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC will be the anchor of the World Pride Festival arts and culture calendar. Each day of the World Pride Festival (May 23-June 8, 2025), the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW) will present a 45-minute pop-up choral performance that include ensembles of GMCW (Potomac Fever, Rock Creek Singers, Seasons of Love, GenOUT Youth Chorus, and 17th Street Dance) and several other GALA choruses from around the country. Venues under consideration include the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Epiphany Church, St Thomas Church, Live at 10th & G, National City Church, and Sixth & I. Additionally, GMCW will present their annual Pride Show Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, at a venue TBD.

To date, the following choruses have expressed interest in participating in the International Choral Festival: Atlanta Women’s Chorus, Common Woman Chorus (Raleigh, NC), Lavender Light Gospel Choir (NYC), New Wave Singers of Baltimore, New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus.

Each day of the World Pride Festival GMCW will present a pop-up choral performance that includes ensembles of GMCW and visiting choruses from around the world! Venues include the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian museums, area theaters, and more!
