Equality Tour

Starting in 2017, GMCW has embarked on several equality bus tours.

Over the years, we have taken some of our concerts on the road to spread a message of equality, dignity, and justice to different cities over a period of four days. We partner with local churches, LGBTQ centers, and gay-straight alliances to raise awareness and much-needed funds, so these organizations can continue to do the vital work that they do. The goal of these bus tours is to bring people together and start conversations while spreading a message of equality through song.

States visited on the 2017 were NC, SC, GA, AL, TN and VA. On our 2018 tour we performed in WV, OH, and PA. And 2019 saw us visiting MD and then NY for World Pride and performing on live television on NBC-TV’s The Today Show. In 2026, we returned to VA, SC, GA, and TN partnering with some new choruses and organizations.

Among our many collaborators, GMCW sang with Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus, Steel City Men’s Chorus, Midland’s Men’s Chorus, Rainbow Voices of WV, Dayton Gay Men’s Chorus, Richmond Allied Voices, Appalachian Equality Chorus, Nashville in Harmony, and the Harrisburg Gay Men’s Chorus. We’ve also met with GA State Representative Karla Drenner and Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero.
