Emmy Award Winner Leslie Jordan
The Evening's Celebrity Entertainer

The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC, invites you to join members, friends and family of the Chorus at its 5th annual Spring Affair on May 17, 2008, at the JW Marriott Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue at Fourteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC. This year's theme is Boots & Black Tie and more than 450 people are expected to attend. It is sure to be a night to remember!

The Spring Affair is GMCW's largest fundraising event of the year, and is one of the primary ways the Chorus raises critical funds to support its many community outreach activities, such as participation in supporting health services, educational programs for youth and adults, sponsoring Student and PWA Ticket Funds and many others. The proceeds from the Spring Affair also help the Chorus remain one of the premier choral ensembles in the DC region and, truly, the nation.

This gala evening features live and silent auctions, an elegant dinner, the Golden Ticket Raffle, the presentation of annual Harmony Awards, the most creative basket raffle you're likely to find and, of course, live entertainment from members of GMCW and special guest Leslie Jordan, star of the movie Sordid Lives and Emmy Award winner for his performance as Beverly Leslie in the hit TV series Will & Grace. What's more, a Sponsor-level ticket lets you rub elbows with Mr. Jordan at a pre-dinner reception in the Marriott's Presidential Suite and rooftop terrace.

Please join the women and men of GMCW for an evening that is sure to enlighten and entertain.

PARKING:
The event hosts encourage use of public transportation, however parking is available at the National Place Parking Garage connected to the Marriott) on a first come first served basis. The garage entrance is on 13th Street, between E and F (next to Chef Geoff's). Sponsor Ticket holders have FREE reserved parking at this garage via communication with their table captain. To confirm you are on the list, email Greg Kubiak at TableChairs@gmcw.org. Guests may also valet park at the Marriott's 14th Street entrance at their own expense (this includes Sponsors).
