Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC http://www.gmcw.org Blog Fri, 03 Sep 2010 14:42:13 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.1 en hourly 1 GMCW prepares to turn 30 http://www.gmcw.org/2010/06/22/gmcw-prepares-to-turn-30/ http://www.gmcw.org/2010/06/22/gmcw-prepares-to-turn-30/#comments Tue, 22 Jun 2010 18:47:12 +0000 tgrant http://www.gmcw.org/?p=1714 While the singers of GMCW take a well-deserved break for the summer and re-energize their batteries for the 30th Anniversary Season that’s around the corner, the staff in our offices at Dupont Circle is busy at work preparing for next year.  There’s a constant hum from Jeff’s cubicle as he goes over the arrangements for The Pink Nutcracker making sure that he’s taking advantage of the full contingent of singers who we anticipate will be with us in the Fall.  Craig is processing a constant onslaught of subscription orders that continue to come through the mail (if you haven’t taken care of this yet, please do so in order to guarantee the best seats possible for the 30th Anniversary Show featuring Jennifer Holliday). Taunee is beginning to have conversations with artists so that we can duplicate the professional look and messaging of last season in which our Grease artwork was the big winner at the Addie Awards (DC advertising equivalent of the Tony’s). And I’m making sure that we have the financial support in place from our generous cadre of individuals and businesses to put on the Chorus’s biggest and best season ever.
