Rock Creek Singers
Rock Creek Singers are a select, spirited, 24-voice ensemble of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington that performs a growing repertoire of a cappella and accompanied classical and contemporary music for audiences throughout the national capital region. Rock Creek’s artistic director is GMCW’s assistant music director, Thea Kano.

This summer, Rock Creek Singers will appear at the quadrennial festival hosted by GALA Choruses. GALA Festival 2008 will feature more than 130 singing ensembles, including six youth choruses.
For the first time, Rock Creek will join the larger chorus and our brother ensemble, Potomac Fever, as an independent performer in the festival. If you’re attending, you can see us perform at 4:45 p.m. Sunday July 13 in the Knight Concert Hall of Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. We will perform some of the same music from American Masterpieces, our concert this past February with the larger chorus. You can read program notes for our performance in that concert here.
If you are interested in booking Rock Creek Singers for a special event, please e-mail our manager, Rob Driggers, at rcsmanager@gmcw.org, or call the GMCW office at 202-293-1548.
