Rock Creek Singers

Rock Creek Singers are a select, spirited, 26-voice ensemble of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington that performs a growing repertoire of a cappella and accompanied classical and contemporary music for audiences throughout the national capital region. Rock Creek’s artistic director is GMCW’s assistant music director, Thea Kano.

Mark your calendars for Saturday Feb. 21, 2009, the date of Rock Creek Singers’ concert as part of GMCW’s 28th season, “everything gAy to Z.”

In our concert, songs in the key of G(ay), we will take a historic look at the last 30 years of music commissioned by GLBT choruses. We will be joined by special guests The Gay Men’s Chorus of Charlotte and a week later will sing in its concert, Platinum Blonde.

If you are interested in booking Rock Creek Singers for a special event, please e-mail our manager, Rob Driggers, at rcsmanager@gmcw.org, or call the GMCW office at 202-293-1548.
